A way for members to participate in our monthly meetings
It is easy and a way to participate. (Virtual members may not vote but may provide input to the meeting at any time)
A new option on trial basis will be available to our members in good standing (dues up to date).
bginning with the January 21, 2025 MEETING, we intend to offer members participation via Zoom (video conference).
How this will work is as follows:
Send an email requesting participation to HarrahHistoicalSociety.IT@gmail.com
If you are listed in our records as a current member, you will receive an email with a link address
On November 19th after 5:30 PM, click the link
You will be in a holding "room" (virtual hold)
The administrator will let you in at an appropriate time (likely 5:45 PM)
The meeting starts at 6:00 PM
Things to remember:
Your audio will show muted as it will be set to automatically mute all participants
To join the conversation, unmute your audio and mute after you are finished with the conversation
Anyone keeping their microphone open with background noise may be removed from the meeting
You can join from your phone or computer, and can chose to participate audio only, but video and audio is preferred
The meeting audio will be recorded for society transcript by our secretary and be erased afterwards, No recording will be released to anyone other than the administrator and secretary for transcription.
This is for a trial and may or may not continue starting with the January 2025 meeting
October 23, 2024
We held an extremely successful Open House on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
We had members, non-members, a State Senator, our Major, City Council members, other important people and visitors of all ages come by. The great band Southern Sky performed free for us and food was plentiful. Pictures of the event can be seen on the media link and on Facebook.
We are looking for someone who will donate an old VHS player to the society to help in digitizing old VHS tapes for our members.
Our annual Potluck will be December 10 this year
The Harrah Historical Society of Oklahoma is a 501(c)(3) LLC, established in 1977 and staffed and maintained by volunteers. Funding is dependent on donations and occasional grants.
